Simon has spent over 25 years in the automotive industry. He started his career with Ford Motor Company, where he spent 8 years in a variety of sales and marketing, and corporate strategy roles. After studying for an MBA at the Cranfield School of Management, Simon joined Toyota’s Lexus Division; rising to be Head of Marketing for Lexus GB and was responsible for the launch of the world’s first luxury hybrid, the RX300h.
Simon then spent three years leading an early cloud computing start-up, before joining RSC in 2006. During his time with RSC Simon has delivered projects across the automotive value chain; including fuel economy and powertrain strategies; investment advice for Private Equity and Debt firms; market entry and commercialisation strategies for automotive technology new entrants; development of bio-fuels strategies; and, various market studies and strategic advice on low carbon transport. Simon worked for Qualcomm Inc. between 2014-18, responsible for the commercialisation of Qualcomm’s Wireless Charging solution for electric vehicles, before re-joining RSC earlier this year, in his current role.
