Highest volume trans family, ~20M car parc, ended production at internal plant needing service-specific support. Ricardo led efforts to capture plant mfg knowledge, salvaged process-critical equipment and tooling, recommended strategic vendors to undertake service parts supply. Key objectives following this effort were to: assist suppliers with mfg line layout with salvaged Ford plant equipment, tooling tailored to service runs, identify appropriate validation methodologies given new suppliers and service-specific production methods, develop and execute validation test plans for ~65 PNs while supporting resolution of barriers to launch.
